Eliana Moscarda Mirković

Eliana Moscarda Mirković is Vice-Dean for Education and Quality Assurance at the Faculty of Humanities, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia. She is an associate professor in the Department of Italian Studies and a member of the Chair of Italian Literature. Her research focuses primarily on Italian and Italian-language literature, with particular emphasis on the literary cultures of Istria, the Kvarner region, Trieste, and the wider Adriatic area. Her scholarly interests encompass women’s writing, cultural memory, identity, multilingualism, interculturality, translation, as well as the relationships between literature, language, space, and cultural heritage. A complementary strand of her research addresses the documentation, study, and preservation of Istria’s endangered Romance linguistic heritage. She has coordinated international research projects devoted to the linguistic and cultural heritage of Istria, including the Archive of the Linguistic and Cultural Heritage of Istria, developed in cooperation with the University of Trieste. She has also participated in national and international research projects. Internationalisation constitutes a significant dimension of her academic activity. She maintains scholarly and institutional cooperation with numerous European universities and academic institutions and coordinates the ITALI Double Degree Master’s Programme in collaboration with the University for Foreigners of Perugia (Italy).
