Ivan Lorencin

Ivan Lorencin, PhD, works at the intersection of artificial intelligence research, healthcare innovation, and real-world deployment. He serves as an Assistant Professor and Vice-Dean for Business Cooperation and Science at the Faculty of Informatics, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. Bridging the gap between academia and industry, he is a partner and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at dAIgnostics, where he leads the development of advanced AI-driven systems that combine deep learning, signal processing, and generative AI to enhance medical research and clinical diagnostics. He is also the founder of Ant Intelligence, a specialized agency that designs custom AI solutions, computer vision pipelines, and large language model integrations for commercial and research enterprises.

​He holds a PhD in Computer Vision, focusing on AI applications in healthcare, medical imaging, and physiological signal analysis. A highly prolific researcher, he has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific publications, including over 40 papers in top-tier Q1 and Q2 journals. Throughout his career, his core focus remains on translating cutting-edge AI technologies into practical, scalable systems that solve complex problems across medicine, science, and industry.
