Kristijan Crnković

Kristijan Crnković is an expert with over ten years of experience in cultural heritage digitisation and complex IT project management. His main area of focus lies in the modelling and development of the interoperable Indigo platform, designed for processing and documenting digitised archival, library, and museum materials in compliance with international and Croatian standards. He places special emphasis on applying new semantic technologies and advanced semantic web-based metadata models for data aggregation and submission to the European digital library, Europeana, including the development of LOD systems and publishing data according to RDF schema. Throughout his career at ArhivPRO, as a project manager and coordinator, he has participated in around a hundred Croatian cultural heritage digitisation projects, where he was responsible for establishing the complete infrastructure and hybrid platforms for processing and managing digital resources. Among other things, his work focuses on conducting feasibility studies, implementing OAIS-compliant documentation systems, creating specialised multilingual thesauri, and developing user portals and advanced search engines featuring morphological search and faceted result display. Additionally, he has provided software and technical support for numerous EU cultural projects. Kristijan regularly participates in professional conferences for archivists, librarians, and museum curators, delivering presentations on the latest technologies and software development for cultural heritage digitisation.
