Lana Skender

Lana Skender is an art historian and museologist who graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, in 2003. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, Croatia. In 2015, she was a member of the national working group on the reform of the Visual Arts curriculum and has since been actively involved in teacher education through professional development workshops, conferences, and online learning platforms. Her scholarly work focuses on interdisciplinary approaches within the humanities, particularly in methodologies for art history and visual culture. Her research interests include the perception and reception of artworks, the integration of contemporary teaching strategies in art education, and the role of visual culture in the educational system. She is especially dedicated to promoting a reflective and sustainable approach to cultural heritage in both formal and non-formal educational contexts.
