Vojko Gorjanc

Vojko Gorjanc is a Full Professor of Slovene at the Department of Translation Studies and Head of the Chair of Slovene at the Department of Translation Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. He is also a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History, where he contributes to the “Digital Humanities: Resources, Tools and Methods” research programme. His primary research interests lie in digital humanities, specifically the analysis of historical periodicals and the development of digital resources for Slovene language research. His areas of expertise include corpus linguistics, sociolinguistics, and the integration of distant and close reading techniques in digital humanities. He currently serves as the Slovene National Coordinator of the EU research infrastructure DARIAH.
